Saint Cecilia
SAINT CECILIA came from England and was raised c.1900 by John Basham & Sons. It is a Cox's Orange seedling. Intense, rich, aromatic, sweet, juicy, crisp when well-grown. Rather tough skin. Popular garden dessert variety in the west of England. Apples have a deep crimson flush and red stripes over a greennsh-yellow or yellow skin. Medium-sized with a round-conic shape, sometimes a bit lop-sided and can be slightly ribbed.
