From the founding of Jamestown to the time of Washington and Jefferson, every plantation owner made cider, drank cider, and bragged about his cider.

Somerset Redstreak
SOMERSET REDSTREAK is an English cider variety, an early bittersharp apple. The apples are medium to large with a flattened conical shape, greenish-yellow with some russeting and a red flush over a large part of the apple. The flesh is sweet, juicy, white and astringent. Cider will have soft tannins and is probably best blended with sharper varieties.
