ENTERPRISE is a new, scab-resistant dessert apple from Purdue, named in 1992. Fruit is large, round, deep maroon-red, with good sugar/acid balance. The texture is breaking crisp, ripening in early October. The tree is spreading, vigorous and productive. Stores well, with superior flavor development in December. Does best in zones 5, 6, and 7.
